Need advice on analog/digital mixers
I need a mixer/controller combo that lets me control cubase but also offers analog mixing, so i can send groups through it in a final mixing stage. a preamp would be nice too. I'm not sure whether it should be an all-in-one device or seperate gear for every task. any suggestions ? thanks&peace -

Im really liking whats happening to hip hop
i gotta say i like what's happening right now. i didn't hear that much high quality stuff in years. but it's small indie labels carrying the torch imo. cats like exile and fashawn, kev b. and damu, jazzy sports in japan or melting pot music in germany, jazz lib in france etc. that's the sound...- mono

i don't believe there's a compressor-preset-recipe for hard hitting and good sounding drums, not in my experience. depends on what sounds you work with, what other sounds there are in the beat, what tools you use and what monitoring equipment you have. i'd start with the sounds. there's plenty... -

latency issues with cubase 5
i had that problem in studio 4. activating "use system timestamp" in the midi settings within the preferences panel solved it for me... -
