Never been in front of a crowd, but someone who always gets me is J-Rocc. He's an avid Serato Live user, and the majority of DJ's that use laptops usually just stare at the screen and forget about the crowd but not this dude. There's an amazingly produced rock/indie/electronic hybrid of a band called The Postal Service that I'm sure some of you have heard of. It's really some great stuff, and I'd love to do something like it. -

The hardware versus software thing is silly. Both have their shares of terrible users, but why should that really affect what we use? If it's viable for us, then who the hell cares what everyone else thinks? seems like you're disrespecting mpc users pretty bad calling everyone dumdickheads... -

Influences???????
One of my biggest influences is the city. I get so inspired by San Francisco that I feel amazingly inspired to be creative. That with a mixture of emotions and music probably influence my "sound" the most. -

Going to begin working with Cubase soon, and the free tutorials are really great. They're pretty long, but a good deal of information comes out of em.
