When I said 'some crappy stuff like Dizzee Rascal' that was just my opinion. I wouldn't consider myself a 'hiphop purist' or anything like that - I just don't really like his music...I don't really like the beats, I don't really like way of rapping/emceeing and I don't really feel inspired...- Lex

Automato and RJD2 are coming to Mtl
RJD2 is great man, you gotta go see him [I'd jump at the chance myself]. It is hiphop, probabaly more in the vein of dj shadow and the like though. RJ has produced for MF Doom, Jakki The Motormouth etc... He's on El-P's label, Def Jux. www.definitivejux.net- Lex

I know what you mean....there are loads of indie labels out there [and more underground artists on major labels] putting out some dope stuff. Maybe you won't find it on mtv, but it really isn't hard to find good hiphop....I agree that mainstream hiphop at the moment is stagnent, but I can't say...- Lex

I'm pretty sure its one of those beat machines artists used to use to create simple backing tracks for live performances - to play along to or just as an accompaniment...you know, like a guitarist or something doing a low-key gig in a pub might have used one [quite a few years ago....] -

What is it with acapellas?
I haven't done many remixes, but I found myself calculating the bpm to .5 of beat on the last I did, lol...I just used trial and error until it fitted perectly the whole way through. I use the instrumental or just the normal track to find the bpm-its a whole lot more accurate than using the... -
