Only addressing the second problem, a fast computer does nothing for you if your soundcard doesn't support low latencies. you need a soundcard that supports ASIO drivers, but you can try lowering the buffer in FL under Options -> Audio Settings to see if that helps anyways. Investing in a good... -

I don't think there is one answer. Research it. Have you tried layering your drums or adding a bass sound behind them? Also, you don't NEED compression on drums. Most people abuse it anyways. Ctrl -
