I think it's a REAL dumb question but..can we hook up the Motif ES Rack with Cubase??
yo, that the main fuggin purpose they build cubasis for in the first place lol! 1. Hook up your midi cables, in -> out / out -> in. 2. Now I dont know no motif, but its all the same. 16 chnls/parts multitimbrale. On sx you just make a midi track, set to your midi device's out and your done...- Formant024

what kind of card is it ? Try Start->Run> n type in dxdiag. That should give you a lowdown of what's in there.- Formant024

Word, Im using these for synth drums Virus B, it has any waveform to create drums plus a trillion options to edit and/or route... I mean, it has 32 knobs already, not counting the buttons. Has 6 outs too! I hook this up to either an MPC or Logic, sample it and drop it into FL. Novation...- Formant024

why i like sampling(a composer's view)
You cant emulate that sound without knowing how they record the stuff in the first place. You'll get closer though if you use amp modelers like a line6 pod or Amplitube, next turn off you quantisize and start recording. Vintage Warmer gives great saturation (PSP Saturator aswell)...- Formant024

MPC 1000 + midi Keyboard (a noob question)...
Write blank settings for your projects, empty midifiles but with fixed mid routings (for pc and mpc). Write blank midi templates for the mpc. Etc etc etc... you can do the same with FL or cubase, it's just a work protocol to get you started the convenient way when you got an instant idea.- Formant024

True, and that just hiphop, there's also electro, dnb, nu skool breaks, detroit techno, techno, acid, breakcore, hardcore/gabber, hell, even pop and crappy pop from the 90's.
