Actually, depending on the type of beat you do, you can use the hihat to give the tempo of the beat (its speed) or you can use it sparsly... exemple: If you want, the hihat can follow the metronome. That's what in most hiphop tracks. So that would mean you would have 8 or 16 hihat hits in one... -

Latin percussions... like cuban? You should look for african percussions instead... the vibe is not the same at all, Rara sounds raw, unpolished, and even out of tone sometimes (it's really peculiar...) Boukman is an old group (like the standard in rara...) but most rara today sounds... -
