To all who have visited a studio before...
once wen i woz in my band a few years back we won a battle of the bands competition and as part of the prize we won a recording weekend in london, at some big studio that i can't remember the name of now, their were gold discs all over the walls big chilling out areas and then a couple of HUGE... -

i make hip hop beats for MCs to use so if i didn't have an mc in mind when doing it then it wouldnt work out, a lot of people make their music to be instrumental i think you really need to know wot aim you have with your music and have this in mind when making your music ! -

i agree with class it should be more natural you shouldnt be forcing drums by making them by some kind of rule set, every track is different theres not a ten step list to great drums for every track ! i think sometimes people forget about what sounds your using if your using crap samples the... -
