Soundfont vs. Vst?
A Soundfont is a compilation of wav that are mapped across the chromatic scale (the keyboard)... if you take a normal wav file and use it in a program like FL Studio, different notes are produced by changing the speed the actual wav file is played, the faster it plays, the higher the pitch... -

But, in FL Studio, you actually have the choice. You can use both, and it's also nice sometimes to compose directly with the mouse or to make adjustments with it... All in all, it's really a question of preference... -

Alicia Keys and John Legend play the piano... so it's normal for them to have some of their songs on music sheets, but Kanye made some of the beats of Jamie, and I dont think he plays the piano... he's a sample... so no music sheets... You could always look for the song he sampled, as... -

Actually, that depends on the sound itself. It works great on some sounds, when they aren't that complicated, that is... -when the wavform is simple -you can see what's the part that is repeated over and over to make the sound... -when that part is identical (or almost identical) every time... -
