well he uses the asr-10 or did last time i checked, its a prety old machine so its guna have low sampling bitrate for that grimey sound so you can try sampling at low bitrates, and even his drums tend to sounds grimey thats basically his whole sound ! -

Ive been producing a few months short of two years, used to only spend a few hours with a full time job now im in uni doing audio engineering i have all the gear and i spend even less time beatmaking lol but i spend most of my week learning bass and piano and every aspect of sound engineering...
