Ive heard from numerious sources that Jay dee aka J-dilla passed away less then an hour ago in LA. Im still trying to confirm it but its all over the grapevine here in NYC...

Whats crazy is i was just at his dougnuts listeing party last night.. in NYC

either way lets pray the rumour is not true, if it is R.I.P

man it seems like yesterday when Pharcyde was killing it with his production, for anyone that remember back in like 95 or 96 that record running away was tearing the charts up for the longest....he inspired so many.

Yup, Sad but true. He had ruptured a kidney a few years back due to stress, constantly working and not eating right. He was the type of cat who would be so into his music that he wouldn't eat for a couple days and when you combine that over an entire career it can take its toll.

Gotta have balance in life, and even he saw that after he started becoming more and more sick, he started putting family first and all that.

Jay Dee influenced soooooo many people in this industry, it's a great loss for hip hop but his music still lives on. R.I.P.
