I dont think you cant either. You can search for midi files on the net. I like to do it too, but only with coyright free songs (like classical or old folk music, for instance) That way I'm really free to do whatever I want with the song. -

^^^^That's where I wanted to go with my comment... glad to see I wasn't the only one thinking about that... but one thing is for sure. Some samples you can only get on vinyl... or on audio tapes too, I guess. -

That's the best argument for vinyls in my book. If you dig through CDs and mp3s only, the chances of somebody else using the same sample you are are big... I mean, if it's in mp3, most of the time, it's because it's popular and if it's popular... well chances are someone already thought of using... -

Too good to sample...
From the breaks... I knew it already was sampled (it's a well known song and it's full of samples/loops possibilities), but I mean, I couldn't touch that song... well, maybe I'll try and sample it too... but still, I'd be walking on egg shells on that one. And be extra demanding.- sYgMa

Have you ever come across a beat that was so great that you could see yourself sampling it? I have. The song? Papa Was A Rolling Stone by The Temptations... There is so much material to sample in there, but everytime I listen to it, I just can't... maybe someday, when I'll be a very good...- sYgMa

The PM-5 are recommendable. The only thing is that you need it make a calibration, that is define their caracteristics by listening to various albums and tracks for reference (sorry if my english is not real good). Once that's done, no doubt that it will give you a clear and untiring sound... -
