    Well, my opinion is there's a lot of marketing in all this. Like the big consoles make some famous band book sessions in that studio, but in the end they use about half the gear there. So the huge ass consoles have an attractive power, mostly... And i think even the best studios in the world...

    Agreed. Unless we're talking 20 minutes psychadelic era prog-rock stuff with several songs in the song... But if we talking hip-hop, you can probably ditch 150 tracks and keep "only" 50 and 99% of the listeners will not hear a difference.

    Here's my feedback. The drums don't really work. I'm talking sound, not pattern. The kick is not hitting tight enough, it sounds like a laser gun. I can't hear a peoper snare hit. And the hihats should be higher frequencies I think. You said you did that with vocal chops, so that makes sense...

    It might be. But I'd be surprise as reverb is not what I'd call "typical" mastering processing. Lemme check the user manual.

    ...here goes another definition of a "track"... But yeah, I'm really the same. My conclusion is that I'm not a weird animal using so many tracks in my beats, so I'm a keep doing it. Less being more, I still need to work on the arrangement side of things.
