I know that post wasn't meant for me, but thanks anyway I can always use tips! Compression is an area I usually lack in as well

    how did it all begin?

Earlier this year I started messin with FL Studio then walked away from it. Came back during the summer and slowly got deeper and deeper into it. I started originally worked with composing then moved to sampling which I love

    Vinyl Samplin for FL

Also, there was a post a lil while ago here about a USB turntable so you can just plug the usb cord right into your comp's usb port and BAM you're ready to sample

    My White MC Post

Exactly, I think it just was how you phrased it. It seemed at first like a joke then slightly racist. In these days everybody feels there is racism and putting out statements in such an upfront matter kind of attacks people at such an emotional spot will get various reactions - most of which...

    drums in your sample

If you can sometimes you can just cut out the drums. It won't always be smooth but from time to time you can cut out the snare and piece the sample together. You can also replace it (like Joe said) with an earlier cut

anyone sell beats at beat trader?

Thanks for the link. Though I agree that it is probably better for you to work a crowd locally and build up a buzz so people come to you, plus you're more likely to make sales.

    Favorite Sounds

Do any of you guys have favorite sounds/instruments that you just love to produce with and least favorite? Drums: Kicks: My favorite is a dirty kick layered with a deep clean one Snare: I don't know what the real term for it is, but kind of scratchy if that makes sense I don't have...

    damn..

Well you'd already lifted from the records and recorded all the material right? Man, if I blew out 33 records I'd just stop, sit, and reflect on my life for a few weeks.

    Make a deathvault

I wouldn't have a deathvault for that purpose to have it play at my funeral. I'd have a vault full of tracks just so that should someone in my future family fall on hard times they could sell my tracks and try and make at least a little cash.

I just did some searching but Ican't find it either I just find places that tell me all the producers on albums but not their specific tracks. If I find anything I'll let you know though

    New Software...?

If they just want the vocals. But if they just want the vocals and there's an instrumental floating around out there there's probably an acapella floating around too

    Improving the sound of vinyl

    Fruity Loops Sample Problem Again?

Yah that's what i'm saying, because if you're trying to stretch it out to repeat the sound looping it should do the same thing (if I'm thinking of this right)

    New Software...?

Ok I'll answer you: no. There isn't really a way to take the vocals from an instrumental. You can eq them to try and cancel them out, but you'll be able to tell it's eq'd probably and you'll probably kill some other instruments/sounds as well.
