    i hope i didn't confuse anyone by the title of this thread. what i am looking for are genres of music that don't always have a lot of drums behind them. i don't like sampling stuff that has drums in it because i don't like layering drums over drums. that is probably something i should experiment...

    i'm not one to tell anyone how to play piano because i don't really know. i have a cheap keyboard that i like to jam on until a melody shows up and thats about it. i know that all my drummer friends say that learning piano before getting behind a drum kit was essential

    that would probably work. i've been successful at times at disguising it but when that particular wav runs out the you definiately hear a difference so looping more background noise makes a lot of sense.

    good advice i always use seperate wavs for each drum sound and then export my 4 bar beat to a wav file. if i need to change up my loop for a hook or whatever you can always go back to those original wavs and make a few change ups to export an extra wav file. then you'll only be working with 2...

    i probably have a couple programs in the software i use to take out hissing type sounds i'm not quite sure how to describe the background noise when recording with it. i've tried experimenting with the mic sensitivty but i'm having a hard time finding a balance what my question really is...

    i am still digging 8 diagrams he got a lot of shit for that album. i can't believe that people thought it was boring or gave him crap for using live instruments. the production is so dark and psychedelic. it is a timeless album for sure
