    I been in the dumps lately myself. Took some time off then got an Mpc Studio. Worked hard to try to get better and came back and entered a few battles. My beats still suck, never got more than a runner up. Makes me want to quit altogether. I wish I had more time to put into but I do what little...

    Sampling help

    I did take take part of the sample that had vocals at the end of the of 4 bar loop and put at the end of the 8th bar instead of the 4th and I think it made alot difference. Thanks.

    More like so it's not just the same repetitive loop but keeps the feel of the beat the same. When I've tried sampling different parts of the song it ends up sounding like 2 different beats. Hope that makes sense.

    Filtering drums

    So I played around with the filters some more and with a combination of high and low pass the tick is gone. The sample sounds a little different but it added a nice little bassline in the process lol. To give you an idea it almost sounds like some old mobb deep type beat.

    I chopped up this fuckin dope sample but the sample had drums in so there is this constant offbeat tick from the snares and hi hats. I have tried the usual shit like filters and burying it in the mix but I can not get rid of it and its driving me bananas cause I really dont want to trash this...
