Different Basslines
Yeah actually i think the bass used in ded prez (the hip hop bass anyway-) is a preset on the micro-korg. I got the microkorg and it is amazing for basslines! the neptunes use it and love it!! in fact u can hear it in almost all their songs! but that bass in "hip-hop" is a drum and bass style... -

I got an sp-505 and i love it man! I really love the layout of the buttons in two rows of 8. It seems that bit more sensible than four rows of four. Plus the sp-505 has amazing features like pitch shift, which means u can pitch a sample across an octave and then play the pads like a keyboard... -

I use the sp505 and love it! it has smart media drive so any hard to chop samples i can chop in cubase then load em over! its really quick to save to ther is zero wait for files to be copied to! the bpm sync works with the hit of one button! many a day i have had sore fingers from workin sooo... -
