Question for trap producers... how to get 808s consistent across various sound systems?
Treat the 808 like any other bass, i think youre making the mistake of focusing on extreme sub when phones etc dont really register that very well to be honest, high end speakers dont really cover that range unless specifically a sub. For translation there needs to be presence in the punchy area... -

I think Mike Chief basically hit the nail on the head here vocals seems the same all the time, ad libs are a must, Fly Shit only, Passing Me By and Playa are the best beats imo but lack substance in the lyrics compared to the beats. The beats slick, i dont think in general the mood fits the vocals to me, i dont know feels more like a battle beat or something more aggresssive than emotional. Agree with the ending being in a different key throws you off even though its just drums. The only way i can explain it is theres hope... -
