Question for trap producers... how to get 808s consistent across various sound systems?

Treat the 808 like any other bass, i think youre making the mistake of focusing on extreme sub when phones etc dont really register that very well to be honest, high end speakers dont really cover that range unless specifically a sub. For translation there needs to be presence in the punchy area...

MC Shan 'Pee-Nile Reunion' (DJ Excellence remix)

Like ive said before you have this style absolutely nailed, ive listened to alot on your soundcloud and enjoy pretty much all of it but i would like to hear something different from you cause to be honest if someone said these were premo beats id believe them, which is a huge compliment

    No snare, no melody.

Definately has a swizz beatz vibe, needs more bounce for timbaland, could imagine it blasting in a club

    In A Mood

Different to what ive heard of yours, definately gives the Eminem vibes at the start but then you put your own stamp on it, it a very unique beat which is always a good thing

    J. Cole - Once an Addict

Yeah i see what youre saying and i feel more of a stan scenario would fit this, its only really the singing at the end that throws the mood out, listening again if it finished on the "running" lyric it would feel "right"

    Futuristic Endtime

Sounds good in general, not much to say not really something id listen to but nothing wrong with it, not really feeling the flute/string synth a g-funk style would fit better i think

    Final Battle

Is Prog Hip-Hop a thing? if not then you might be the first, Its ok doesnt grab me or offend me its one where vocals could give it the interest it needs but as an instrumental theres not enough variation in the lead sounds to me the story doesnt change

Project 2 - looking for some input (Hot/Not)

I think Mike Chief basically hit the nail on the head here vocals seems the same all the time, ad libs are a must, Fly Shit only, Passing Me By and Playa are the best beats imo but lack substance in the lyrics compared to the beats. The rest are all club stuff i think so lyrics not so important...

    J. Cole - Once an Addict

The beats slick, i dont think in general the mood fits the vocals to me, i dont know feels more like a battle beat or something more aggresssive than emotional. Agree with the ending being in a different key throws you off even though its just drums. The only way i can explain it is theres hope...

    Dont Come Running Back

ok the more i hear it the more 50 cent comes into mind i may be way off though, ok memory jogged and it is "back down", may not be a sample but if it blew theyd be after you, dont get me wrong though i prefer yours
  19. Ys Man

    Dont Come Running Back

well then even youve used it before! i gues i didnt know it that well, i should also learn how to use who sampled a bit better cause now youve said that i found the full list of songs. the specific section of strings is what rings a bell but cant think what song it is

Is this an accurate LUFS cheat sheet when mastering?

Yes i realised the comment about analog isnt really appropriate in the mastering sense but i was more referencing the image for those levels which would make sense on a vu meter i guess. but who would ever mix at those levels digitally? as far as i know most mastering engineers use a software...
