    i got the original myself.. another thing this drum machine did was change the sound when the pad was struck.. they called it "dynamic articulation"... i bought that machine bcuz i loved the HR16 alot, but couldnt find it anywhere.. this was it's successor.

    ur right... i usually never bring it up, but i also have the Roland RY30... that drum machine is crazy too.. the bender knob thats on it can get u a long 808 kick sound thats crazy.. and it took expansion cards.. i think thats wat made me stop usin it.. but definitely a good machine. da relic

    i got the Korg ER1.. although not the 808, damn it does a good job emulatin its style.. from the 808 kick, to everything else, its a very good alternative.. definitely would never sell it.. good post! da relic
