yep.. i usually start with the preset, then try to make it my own.. the same with samples.. i never want someone to tell me, "yo, this sounds like so and so's beat" or something like that.. and even tho u try and make it sound different, you will always get a few people.. lol da relic- slik da relic

the year was 2006... when beat battles were BEAT BATTLES!!! i was in this shit twice.. the mighty RS7000 vs the ASRx, and lost twice... oh how pissed i was... this aint my battle tho.. lol for the record tho, i finally did win 1 a few yrs later, in a different contest... beating 3 MPC 2000s...- slik da relic

1 Quality Track or a bunch of Ok tracks?
u can take ur time on a quality track, however, u can hold on to an "ok" track, and come up with something that makes it better.. i go thru it sometimes.. u can make an ok track, then months or even years later, come back to it, change the sounds, add some sounds... and it becomes a quality...- slik da relic

i bought the Beat Thang for its portabilty, but the sounds are great.. theyve had a few OS upgrades which fixed a couple of things, so now it very solid for me.. i know everyone has their personal choice of machines, but im at a point now where, all i need is a good sampler, a great sequencer...- slik da relic
