Clashing frequencies causing artifacts
I have never encountered digital clipping inside a plugin or inside a daw actually... But if it's clipping, just turn'em down or compress the specific frequencies with a multiband compressor until your meters are in the green, not orange. :D You can try and check the bit depth you're working... -

Yep. I used it for my g-funk beat. You'll let me know if it sounds cheap... I haven't compared it to other moogish vsts, but it has a good reputation. It's a mini moog, so the tweaking is limited : 3 osc, a mixer in the middle, then a filter, filter envelope and amp envelope... that's about... -

What are some of your biggest pains in the butt at the moment regarding beat making?
Right now, what pisses me off about making music is I can't make any. See, my PCIe Thunderbolt card has suddenly decided to disappear from Windows radar, so my audio interface is collecting dust for the past few weeks. -

Good to hear. So often was I digging into old Motown/Stax records with these incredible strings or brass sections but couldn't sample it because the singer won't shut it a single bar in the whole goddam song... So annoying.- YannFer

I haven't used it for the past year that I have been using Cubase. I tried the Izotope thing on several occasions but had subpar results. I'm not sure Cubase has the latest/full spectralayers version. I need to check that out.- YannFer

Exactly. I was not describing what I do and apply as rules, but more what I end up doing 80% of the time. Regarding the master bus, I don't have the proper listening setup to do mastering tasks. I use Ozone Mastering assistant and have to trust it, for lack of a better option. It often adds a...
