i use minor keys so much more.... i dont remember the last time ive used a major scale... lol... i don't like them much... in my opinion they seem too "happy" for me.... i know they can be used to play sad tunes as well, but i just don't like their sound.... feel me? -

yeah depends on the 808 sample too... use that chart as a STARTING POINT... not as your final cutting/boosting points though.... because each sample calls for different eq'ing... normally i just lower the his...and boost around the 60-120hz area....sometimes either cutting or boostin the 250... -

Who puts hooks on their beats?
depends on what kind of beat it is.... if i don't put a hook in, i'll at least have some kind of breakdown or variation to keep it interesting... most of my beats have hooks though, the only kind of beat i have problem putting hooks in are those sampled freestyle battle type beats
