I would have to say relatives whom ive never met like my mothers older brother who got killed in the 60's. I also dont want to turn this into a religious debate, it all depends on what you believe. I see some people are saying they would like to bring back Jesus. As far as my beliefs go Jesus is NOT dead thats why christains celebrate Easter before it was tainted with the easter bunny and commercialism. Its the ressurection of Christ. Anyway, lets get some hot beats jumpin off :)

Amen dogg! I'm in full agreement with U. Way to shead light on it!

DJ X- SINNA - Thanks for the wonderful SERMON. Aren't you impressive you could go "on and on." Whoops I forgot about how some people are on such a higher level from others that they grasp all TRUTH and are as omnipotent as God. Pip, Pip ol' chum.

KEVIN A - what was I thinking? Read my post past the people who I wrote and you would know. But like people who just judge on the surface you just looked at what was simple to classify and not beneath the surface. Thanks chum!

What???
Oh, so people can get on this post and say whatever they want to say and use all sorts of profane language they want (not knockin' anyone here) but when a Christian opens his or her mouth, to shed a little bit of LIGHT, people like YOU get all offended and miss the point entirely and call it a SERMON!!?? Whatever dogg. First of all, I wasn't trying to knock anybody for what they said. I was merly stating a fact. You can believe it or not!!
That is all on YOU! I thought that the whole point of ILLMUZIK was to learn and get knowledge from others; be it music related or otherwise!
No, thanks goes to YOU "ol' chum.

gilles deleuze-a broad intellect, who had alot to say in any respect

friedrich nietzsche-screw ayn rand, in many ways she was a second rate nietzsche, in her other ways she wasnt smart enough to be a second rate nietzsche

franz kafka-oh so many abstract stories that would be great to see the completion of, and a unique mind that died before he could start a whole lot more

georges batailles-cos who said there isnt a place in the world for a poetic and intellectual genius who goes against even my trends and questions morals on every level, feeds on destruction and sexual self satisfaction, and really just wants to rip many facets of everybodies existence completely apart......the intellectual equivalent of putting a sexually fueled shark in an unsuspecting fish tank to see the results, but he would certainly turn some peoples ideas upside down.........plus no one has ever written poetry as powerful as him....beaudelaire was amazing, put where he was perfectly refined beautiful emotive genius, batailles was a powerfully flawed beast who knew his problems and loved to make them the source of his power

Actually that reference to Revelations 22:19 states that he will punish those who tamper with what is written. It doesn't say that God will do anything about it. Freewill of mankind has led to distortion of the Bible through transcription. I'm sure you know hear arguments as to which bible to buy from people.

Also, I don't believe I'm confused because I am not mixing pieces up from religions. You probably don't know much about Hinduism's influence on Buddhism and both on Taoism because you never read about any of those religions, which is fine. Overall, this is a wasteland argument. I'll read the Bible to interpret for myself. I don't need someone to tamper with what the book is saying by interpreting it for themselves than giving me their interpretation, though thanks for the references.

Proverbs 30
5. Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Rev 22
18. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shalladd unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19. And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

The only thing he didn't state was when, and it's not worth speculating because you won't result in a answer. I believe the idea here is not to be adding in your own stuff, not that it would change the God of the bible, but in reference to him it would not be profitable for the individual that does.

Proverbs 3
5. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

i hate to be presumptuous enough to think i can moderate, but shouldnt arguments about religion belong in their own thread....i certainly dont want to see people slanging paragraphs worth of exact quotes at each other in a thread that has little to do with it

Well, sometimes you have to do that when people forget what they wrote. Also, when you see somebody dangling out in left field, you don't leave them hanging out there. That should be one of the ideas behind a community. Even though the discussion was not off topic, I do think conversation became a issue of more importance than the initial topic of the thread. Who on earth can bring somebody back from the dead? This is pure fantasy, and by the people we choose we some how credit it to our own being for choosing that person (I'm smart, I'm caring, I'm artistic, or want to be entertained etc etc). I've seen plenty threads that had sub-conversations in them that had no problems. And aside from music related threads, we struggle with interesting topics worth talking about. The topic was what 4 would you bring back. The sub topic originated from why Jesus would not qualify as a person you could bring back, but more important than the thread is why he doesn't qualify, if Jesus is in your vocabulary. But as for that conversation, Hardboiled said if over, I'm saying I have no more points to make about it. I think it's finished.

my simple point is this:you could have started another thread in the first place....people can then decide whether they want to view it or not...and its not in the way...2 threads are not more confusing than 1, it would have been helpful

Nah, dude, she knew all about his shit and rejected a lot of it. The basis of their differences was that he believed that everything (reality, morality, etc.) is subjective, while she believed and brought evidence about why reality and ethics and such are objective. Neitzsches come a dime a dozen.

haha...yeah i know man....it was more of just a dig, pointless empy rhetoric and half truths, cause i believe she gets a tad too much respect...the 2nd rate nietzsche kinda came from the somewhat relative political beliefs (capitalism, with all liberal freedoms instated) after that base i kinda just got hyperbolic

but i will say one thing, nietzsche copies come a dime a dozen, there will only be one nietzsche, every copy of him has had half the brain, and a quater of the conviction...the man was a brilliant genius who could bring every other philosopher back to earth pretty quickly.....but unfortunately he knew it all too well and was very cocky, especially as the ilness hit

anyways on topic maybe someone like foucault id bring back.....although i hate most post modernists id definitely be interested in finding out the strength of reasoning behind what he did in his days before death and after aids
