Actually that reference to Revelations 22:19 states that he will punish those who tamper with what is written. It doesn't say that God will do anything about it. Freewill of mankind has led to distortion of the Bible through transcription. I'm sure you know hear arguments as to which bible to buy from people.
Also, I don't believe I'm confused because I am not mixing pieces up from religions. You probably don't know much about Hinduism's influence on Buddhism and both on Taoism because you never read about any of those religions, which is fine. Overall, this is a wasteland argument. I'll read the Bible to interpret for myself. I don't need someone to tamper with what the book is saying by interpreting it for themselves than giving me their interpretation, though thanks for the references.
Proverbs 30
5. Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6. Add thou not unto his words, lest
he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Rev 22
18. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things,
God shalladd unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19. And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy,
God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
The only thing he didn't state was when, and it's not worth speculating because you won't result in a answer. I believe the idea here is not to be adding in your own stuff, not that it would change the God of the bible, but in reference to him it would not be profitable for the individual that does.
Proverbs 3
5. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and
lean not unto thine own understanding.
6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
