Having 2 would definitly be sick and so much easier. Once I can afford another monitor, i'll be getting it along with the Nvidia Dual display video card. On 1 screen you can have your Cubase sequencer, and the other you can have your Cubase mixer. Having the mixer on 1 FULL screen at all times would be sick! I can't wait...

I recently bought a new comp for making music only . I heard people say on another forum that u need to have 2 harddisks ( one for programs and samples and all and one for the program to use ) . I got one harddisk though and it works fine . It will be better with 2 i think but i aint got experience with that . Also buy some memory , quite some ghz ( 2.6 ghz ) and a good soundcard . If you int got that big of a budget u should buy the audiophile 2496 . Also buy a good motherboard .Good luck

Surround sound music isn't that long off, but you can't do surround on a cd, only dvd's. A few years ago the codec(blueprint) for DVD audio was written but a kid in Sweden cracked the code meaning he could burn DVD Audio disks. Because of this they didn't release the DVD audio format and are currently re-writing the codec for DVD audio. Once DVD audio comes out its going to be crackin. Not just will DVD audio disks be in surround but the frequency response and bit rate will be alot higher, and you'll be able to put video on the same disk! At some record stores you can find rare DVD audio disks that got released before they cancelled it, and DVD players can allready play 'em so some cats have allready started to collect them.
