this was cool man, a lil hard to follow but it vibed good. I like what you did with the sample reversal, i love doin that for some abstract sounds it fit in your beat nicely. The main melody was a lil hard to follow for me though. wasnt as solid as it could have been as far as the sample smoothly sitting with everything. The turntable add-ins are nice though. Drums were cool too.

Thnx Producer_GyaL, Yeah, after listening to this, I realized I overflipped (O.F.?) Didn't know really which direction to go in places. Hopefully my shit will morph into tracks like you make some day!

lol yes you overflipped it, but who cares? It was a nice try. (too much of a nice try lol) Now, all you need is a little bit of structure. Something like 4/4 structure. Do some fip that could be a verse (16 bars), and something that can be seen as a chorus (8bars) Simplicity is a nice thing.

grafik: I cant say much more then thats hot. the parts you sampled, the drums you laced. Everythings nice.

specialist: the beat you put is real strong, a real nice bounce to it. I'd mess with it no lie.

knox raw: Nice and smooth, had a nice bounce, not the most complex thing but I cant complain, this was real nice.

spanish: the cuts were nice, but they werent my style, when the sax came in I was sorta at a crossroads. execution wise this was nice, but I personally wasnt feeling the direction but i cant hate on that.

producer gyal so far this is the best one I've heard, I'm just feeling it from start to end. It feels the most put together and I love how the track just builds up on itself. real nice.

5th: This was real nice, I was feeling the vibe that came out of it, I could seriously just lean back and just rock to this for hours on end on repeat. I do agree that only a particular type of MC could go on this, but its the type of beat that for the most part that type of MC will gravitate towards, cause it allows them to really loose themselves on it, it allows them to really command the beat instead of just riding it.

ruimix: your beat stays one step ahead of the listeners which is iite, you really coudnt guess where it was going which could be a good thing or a bad thing, after a point it felt real random which made it difficult to get into, but right around 42 seconds, this beat floored me. that entire sequence was just hot. nice.

Ruimixx!! my bad man, i was tryna clown you if thats how you took it. not in the least bit lol, i understand everyone is at different levels and regardless of skill, even the dopest producers have been in our shoes and lower at one point in their learning path.

Dang man, as wild sounding as this is it actually works. a step out of the ordinary for sure. oh lol... i see what you mean by short but thats cool i'll play this again. even though this works technically when listening to it, i couldnt hear an MC riding this. The drums, even though they worked didnt hit home as a tight drum kit either. but overall the direction was consistant, the drums fit the sample arrangement and it was well done with respect to its length. sounds like your learning the ropes of your equipment, keep it up man.

sup everyone, hope u guys are wonderin where i been... i had fam in the hospital, so i was out of commish for a few days... even thought about bringin my machine to the hosp to get some work done at nite... lol... but im back now, everything's close to normal again. as i looked at this thread i was like DAAAMN!!! cats really got their grind on this time around. i'll have reviews and mines up by 2nite i hope. i aint goin NOWHERE!

the specialist: i like the pieces used in this flip from last week, good bassline sound... the rhyme flows nice over it as well. hope to see u in a few more flips.

knox raw: yo, this sounds good with the Common vocals, but i think the drums need more variation, to make the sample come more alive. sounds very repetitive. some more drops wouldve helped. the vocals mask the repetitiveness. good job though.

spanish harlem this is a slow smoke a blunt joint, i would love to hear this sped up a bit... not really feelin the horns as much, but it sounds like a song of sadness and despair, so it could work. i like that snare drum. gotta look for that...lol.. good work.

5th sequence i know im gonna get a well composed trk for this dude... sounds like a nice mellow vibe goin on. always got some good horns goin on, sounds like u used some cuttoff filter or something to get a deep feel on the bass. i like that snare also. nice.

ruimixx i like where ur takin it, but i hear a piece that sounds like it can be flipped into something else. it sounds more like an instrumental, or someone talkin smack over the trk. i like the reverse, now i know ur gettin deeper into the samplin aspect. no boudaries are safe in this game! good work.

ABC i didnt hear the 1st one, but this one sounds like it could be used for something... so qwik rapid fire Emcee needs to jump on it...lol...TWISTA, WHERE U AT??!!

what up rel, thanks for the review man. Hope all is well with the hospital stuff.

This is cool, it takes a moment for the string melody to catch, but the bass solidifies it. This has a cool direction, it works. The change up is nice too. I like the breakdown when its just the bass goin. Nicely done. This track would stand out better if the low end mixing was a lil tighter though. The bass seems a lil muddy and kinda fights with the kick drum for frequencies. A lil bit of a jumbled mess down there.. but if it was cleared up, with possibly a more defined kick over the 808ish one you got, it'd cut like cheese lol. nice work bro, keep it up!!

LOL I didnt read your post till now. I didnt bring my A game... If I did that, I would have put some bass, change the drums and I would complete the song. I thought I would continue and finish it, but im not into it. but eh lol anyways, thank you. I heard your version, I wished you didnt loop your work all the way. The bass idea is dope. But to repetitive. good job.

no doubt... thx for all the feedback. i know everyone is not doin as much as they can on the trx they create, otherwise itll take a lil more days to listen to the trk over n over, experimenting with different ideas till u got the rite combination. but the cats in here are very good at getting an idea or concept in their head, and rollin with it. once you're good at doin that, and basically thats what everyone is postin, u KNOW the final product has the potential to be dope!!!

I like the melody. The only little thing that I dont like is what you hear on 45 sec to 46sec.... 1:07 to 1:08.... 1:29 to 1:30...

are u serious?! thats the flava of the beat to me... its plain without that. and 1:51-1:54 is a mistake...lol... i came in too late. its supposed to hit twice, not once. i fixed the bass a little, toned it down. i knew b4 i posted it, it was clashin with the 808. i even thought about changin that kick, but it sounds good with the whole song. anybody else care to rip me up.

well.. lol its a question of taste. the part I told you about, I would've keep them only if it was blend with another samples. Hearing that sound alone is kind of annoying in my ears. and 1:51 - 1:54 is perfect for me LOL. sorry. Who am I to judge anyways? keep doing ur thing.
