Instead of bailing out these companies that will try to screw you, regardless...
Citigroup, "although bailed" out by the gov't, is still on thin ice. They've even raised interest rates on existing balances. One report I heard on the radio states one man's interest rate went to 59%.....Now that's just bullshit....why would you bail out a company who in turn screws over the consumer...hence making the consumer less likely to stimulate the economy by buying more shit??
Why don't we use the rest of the 300+ billion dollars...and give every working man/woman a tax-free holiday for 2 months??...
No Fed tax..no Social Security...nothing.....(except if you have insurance you pay for weekly). I don't know about yall..but the extra 2500 I get would def go into buying more shit....or help save for a house.
I think that would work best, instead of putting it into the hands of companies that would just use it on themselves, anyway.
