Instead of bailing out these companies that will try to screw you, regardless...

Citigroup, "although bailed" out by the gov't, is still on thin ice. They've even raised interest rates on existing balances. One report I heard on the radio states one man's interest rate went to 59%.....Now that's just bullshit....why would you bail out a company who in turn screws over the consumer...hence making the consumer less likely to stimulate the economy by buying more shit??

Why don't we use the rest of the 300+ billion dollars...and give every working man/woman a tax-free holiday for 2 months??...

No Fed tax..no Social Security...nothing.....(except if you have insurance you pay for weekly). I don't know about yall..but the extra 2500 I get would def go into buying more shit....or help save for a house.

I think that would work best, instead of putting it into the hands of companies that would just use it on themselves, anyway.

In 2-3 years we will be pulling out of Iraq.....which will cut military spending by trillions of dollars. That can help with paying off the bailout dollars....but that's not a guarantee, either.

But you can't stimulate the economy without putting more money in the hands of the people...

Rob Peter to pay Paul.....probably one of the very few times that it can actually work and make sense

At least the market can recover a little bit....and bring confidence back into the stock market...

The money is already set aside...we've already paid for it......maybe not now but definitely later. Why not give it to the people?

it simple. eliminate the fed. all income tax is paying is the percentage rate on every dollar created. Thats it. Any economic stimulus will bring more debt. Its a short fix. But if you eliminate the federal reserve and have sound money we all become millionaires. Never happen. The dollar isn't backed by anything. There's the problem from day one.

That will never happen...

The people who run the Fed run this country....not the people we elect as our leaders...

yea... ok... i like Obama... i hope this is true.

anyway... the only way for ANYTHING to work, is to stop lending fukkin money to other countries... american companies must stop goin out of country payin lower wages to workers... we must BUY more american products (sorry Sony)... find a solution for free health care (which other countries have by the way)... and stop giving the Top execs REEEEDIIIICUUUULLOOOOUUUSSS salaries... that all adds up to TRILLIONS of dollars... if we keep it in the country we would be fine, but lending is a BIG prob this country has... its like we're everyone's daddy... and our sons and daughters are bein killed bcuz of it.

a bailout will depreciate the value of money. its pretty simple. just like the economic stimulus plan.

Quite true.

But since the money is already set aside for something...might as well give it to the people, instead of the people who don't need it.......I mean the people with seven figure bonuses.....

If I got a tax holiday...I would use the extra 2 grand to make purchases....I'm sure a lot of people would do the same......

Without tax revenue how are we suppose to pay for the bailout package?

Sure we could give companies even MORE money, but it doesn't pay for the bailout.

Do you realllllyyyyyy think anything that we give the gov't in the form of taxes etc is going toward the bailout....really?

When a country is in a deficit they really don't have money...PERIOD. The ability to print bailout money is due to SUPER GIGANTIC LOANS from China. And guess what, China could give a "flying fuck if we can ever pay them back". We're paying them with the now never before had leverage they have over us in all our worldly dealing and what they really want is the LAND that the loans are tied to. If u don't pay your mortgage what happens? U LOSE YOUR HOUSE. When the loan from China can't be paid in cash they will and can claim the land. The only way to stop them would be to Nuke them...but of course they have Nukes and they wouldn't hesitate to aim them all our way. U hear that loud SQUEAK....U feel that SHARP pain....that's the American people getting fucked by our government with no VASELINE!

Here's an example of the what China is up to these days. Before they had the United States and a few other countries bent over a barrel financially they would have never left the waters past there shores!

China targets pirates in groundbreaking mission

GUANGZHOU, China – Chinese warships headed toward Somali waters Friday to combat piracy, the first time the communist country has sent ships on a mission that could involve fighting so far beyond its territorial waters.

The deployment to the Gulf of Aden, which has been plagued by increasingly bold pirate attacks in recent months, marks a major step in the navy's evolution from mostly guarding China's coasts to patrolling waters far from home.

The move was welcomed by the U.S. military, which has been escorting cargo ships in the region along with India, Russia and the European Union. But analysts predicted the Chinese intervention could be troubling to some Asian nations who might see it as a sign of the Chinese military becoming more aggressive.

The naval force that set sail from southern Hainan on Friday afternoon included a supply ship and two destroyers — armed with guided missiles, special forces and two helicopters. China announced it was joining the anti-piracy mission Tuesday after the U.N. Security Council authorized nations to conduct land and air attacks on pirate bases.

Pentagon spokesman Maj. Stewart Upton said the U.S. welcomed China's move.

Pirates working out of Somalia have made an estimated $30 million this year, seizing more than 40 vessels off the country's 1,880-mile (3,000-kilometer) coastline. Most of the attacks have occurred in the Gulf of Aden, one of the world's busiest shipping lanes.

Deploying ships to the area helped stoke national pride among Chinese who feel their increasingly wealthy nation should be playing a bigger role in world affairs.
