Seems like he thought I was hatin on him. Wings I agree with you, yeah I probably shouldn't have use the word sucks, but at the same time I don't recall commenting on the quality of the track.
This totally had to do with the mc. I think this was a situation where the track could not stand on it's own as a good work of art without the help of the mc. The track did nothing for me at all, it was neither good or bad in my opinion. Some music you can listen to, and the artist be booty, but you can surely know that the track is hot. It's like rounding off to the nearest wackness, the track is zero, and he's negative 5, so he takes the value of the whole production into the negative.
I'd rather never make it at doing what I love, than to compromise my art producing garbage mc's and hating my job after awhile. Money does not equal happyness. I believe serious artist set standards for themselves, even if producing for wack mc's is not one of them. You should have Represented on the track hard, you need to make people say, that track is tight. But it all comes back down to working with the talent we got, and all that other music business stuff you talked about. Do you son.
