tbh, the off-key melody kinda turns me off, but the drums are slick.
Here are mine.

oninkaf I second what Marc said, the melodies seem to clash, but I like the groove of the track without the guitar....yea man, I dig the bassline, kicks sound tight, snares are nice. I could hear an old school rapper on this for sure.

Marc Duncan The first beat: Sounds good. I like the energy of this track. The little details here and there really bring out the track, and everything is cohesive. Nice touch with Cartman, haha.

For the second beat, I like how it starts off, and then picks up til the break. Nice variety to it with the horns and synth.The piano sounds nice. I really like this beat overall.

@oninkaf yeah when the keys drop and those drums breathe for the millisecond, this beat pierced the soul lol i like the guitar, just something about em is off, to me. Its tight though.

@Marc Duncan those claps are the real deal on clutch, this is like and anthem, str8 up, nice

@PYVS at first i liked the sample, then it seemed repetitive, then the 808s brought it life, i like this..

I did this about a week ago, but didn't get to post it until now.
Nothing here yet.
@oninkaf That guitar section is terribly off key. Do whatever you can to replace it.
@Marc Duncan "Be Kind" is not really my cup of tea, but it sounds good, I wouldn't mind if somebody rapped to it.
@PYVS Very chill beat. Great job with the "baby" sample resampled over and over. The 7th chords get slightly tiring with time, though.
@HouseOfBeets The basic idea isn't much, but I love how you built the composition from a generic melody to something dope. I think it could sound much richer with some reverb and perhaps a different piano. The percussion in general is well done.

@Marc Duncan Clutch - I like the melody a lot but it gets kinda repetitive IMO. I love it when you introduce the strings.very nice :)
@PYVS nothing to say here I love every aspect of this beat. In fact just today I was playing me some GTA V and this reminded me of that Cashmere Cat beat, very nice :)
@HouseOfBeets I like the piano and that vocal melody but something about those drums kinda seems off. I would maybe put a higher snare and would ease up on the hats. change them up a bit here and there. Good work though
@Drago Zetić nice head bobbing beat, those pads are maybe a bit too loud but that could just be my headphones. (btw, odlican sample na pocetku ;) )

ok, so this showcase thread wouldn't mean anything if I wouldn't take your suggestions into account. I made a different version of my previous beat posted here, replaced the guitar with saxophone and it has a totally different vibe now and I think it sounds a lot better. so here it is:

Producing weird shit since 2002
@oninkaf I'm kind of thrown off by the offkey guitar sample, and somewhat offkey bass, it can definitely work, but I'm not a big fan. Good sound tho

@Marc Duncan
bekind: well put together
clutch: not a big fan
again, I prefer beats that stand out rather than those that are "x-type beats", I like to discover new things, not hear what I've already heard. that's my opinion tho, not a judgement. Obviously you work hard on those and I respect that. But I really am not able to appreciate it, sorry. Good thing is, many other people will dig it.

I wish one day to hear a marc duncan type beat ;)

@PYVS
Great intro ! I like the sample manipulation (software or hardware? that's the kind of things that could come out of a volca sample), tight beat, somewhat modern/retro kind of vibe, oldschool sample, newschool drums, I like it!

@chronic
again, I prefer original kind of material, something that blows my mind rather than takes me where I've already been. But it's nicely put together, keep at it.
PS: word of advice, you shouldn't do "quick" if you want to do "good", the harder you'll work on your craft, the better you'll become. Expect the best from yourself, and give your best, all the time, if you ever want results.

@cto
that RATM feel from the first couple of bars, then it all begins, very smooth jazzy, sensual, it's very impressive, well composed, well arranged, original, what an inspiration! you're very talented ;)

@HouseOfBeets
Sorry man, the whole track sounds weirdly put together, sounds seem to stand out rather than blend in together. You should work on your sounds and grooves, do you make your own sounds or are you using presets?

@JCFAX81
I like the intro, but when the track begins, it feels that it lacks a little something to put it all together, not a big fan but there's potential, I wish you would have gone further in your track, work on smaller details just to glue it all togehter. Great sample chop tho :D enjoyed it

@Drago Zetić mind blown right there (and that was no easy task, regarding who I was listening to just before. Reminds me of some of the stuff I like to listen sometime, some of the old quasimotos, count bass D and whatnot, elaborate, well put together, original, yet still classic sounding, a real tour de force. I appreciate a LOT.

@oninkaf (on the second one)
well, you did replace an off key guitar with an off key saxophone, I think you should rather move on, make sure on the next tracks that stuff is on key, but I don't think there's a need for you to go back to that track. If you want to make progress, you need to look forward.

Alright, so I have a few very different beats for you today, two remixes and an original/instrumental beat.

Maybe the easiest to listen to, second part of a 2 parts remix
classic low/mid tempo, with a twist at the end

Then the instrumental beat, tried to catch some vibe from the 80s and 90s

And finally, another remix of some german band (I didn't know about), this one is a little different, and definitely more punchy than the others

New to this entire forum would love to get more involved in the producer community.
I go by GOLDY Vinyls and here is my creation for this showcase off my upcoming beat tape "Holy Stash" Prod. By Me, Would love some feedback Negative and Positive welcome.

Thank you!

@oninkaf Tune that sax down a semitone or so and it will be a decent fit.

@Hadoq The first one was somewhat ruined by the half singing half rapping thing. By itself it's simple, but effective.

In the second one, I love the Rhodes chops, especially the one that sound like it was done inaccurately on purpose. Excellent stuff, the synths really complement it well.

@Edgar Beautiful, peaceful stuff. Don't really have much to say about it, but I am amazed.

@SonicMajor That a cappella track is really low quality, reminds me of speech from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The backing fits Pac and his themes very well, in fact I'd say it sounds better than a lot of beats he spit to, including the original "Me Against The World".
