@oninkaf I'm kind of thrown off by the offkey guitar sample, and somewhat offkey bass, it can definitely work, but I'm not a big fan. Good sound tho
@Marc Duncan
bekind: well put together
clutch: not a big fan
again, I prefer beats that stand out rather than those that are "x-type beats", I like to discover new things, not hear what I've already heard. that's my opinion tho, not a judgement. Obviously you work hard on those and I respect that. But I really am not able to appreciate it, sorry. Good thing is, many other people will dig it.
I wish one day to hear a marc duncan type beat
@PYVS
Great intro ! I like the sample manipulation (software or hardware? that's the kind of things that could come out of a volca sample), tight beat, somewhat modern/retro kind of vibe, oldschool sample, newschool drums, I like it!
@chronic
again, I prefer original kind of material, something that blows my mind rather than takes me where I've already been. But it's nicely put together, keep at it.
PS: word of advice, you shouldn't do "quick" if you want to do "good", the harder you'll work on your craft, the better you'll become. Expect the best from yourself, and give your best, all the time, if you ever want results.
@cto
that RATM feel from the first couple of bars, then it all begins, very smooth jazzy, sensual, it's very impressive, well composed, well arranged, original, what an inspiration! you're very talented
@HouseOfBeets
Sorry man, the whole track sounds weirdly put together, sounds seem to stand out rather than blend in together. You should work on your sounds and grooves, do you make your own sounds or are you using presets?
@JCFAX81
I like the intro, but when the track begins, it feels that it lacks a little something to put it all together, not a big fan but there's potential, I wish you would have gone further in your track, work on smaller details just to glue it all togehter. Great sample chop tho
enjoyed it
@Drago Zetić mind blown right there (and that was no easy task, regarding who I was listening to just before. Reminds me of some of the stuff I like to listen sometime, some of the old quasimotos, count bass D and whatnot, elaborate, well put together, original, yet still classic sounding, a real tour de force. I appreciate a LOT.
@oninkaf (on the second one)
well, you did replace an off key guitar with an off key saxophone, I think you should rather move on, make sure on the next tracks that stuff is on key, but I don't think there's a need for you to go back to that track. If you want to make progress, you need to look forward.
Alright, so I have a few very different beats for you today, two remixes and an original/instrumental beat.
Maybe the easiest to listen to, second part of a 2 parts remix
classic low/mid tempo, with a twist at the end
Then the instrumental beat, tried to catch some vibe from the 80s and 90s
And finally, another remix of some german band (I didn't know about), this one is a little different, and definitely more punchy than the others
