I guess it's a good time now to explain what the hell I've been doing for these past 7-8 months.
I've decided to go to the Institute of Audio Research in NYC last year. Thanks goes to DJ Swivel to take time out of his busy schedule to help me out with my decision.
All in all, I am glad I went here, mainly due to it being cheaper and the credits transfers over to St.John's in Queens. The school has been an interesting experience. A good thing about the school is that if you feel you need to re-learn some Midi applications or mixing or another class in Music Business, you can always come back with no charge. My only gripe thus far is that their is only one term devoted to Midi and Music Business, I just wish it was longer than one term. I didn't think I could of done this in August when I first started. But, I have learned a lot, don't get it twisted now.I just don't think I will intern at a studio, even though over the past year, I have interned at radio and major and indy labels. I think I might focus on that, and just engineer as a side gig with some people I know, I am not sure yet. I have about 7 weeks left.
All in all, if any of you guys have any questions about IAR, feel free to post or hit me up, I will tell you about the good, bad, ugly and funny.
