thats a rough situation. sometimes i would like to be wealthy to simpily help people out who need it. you know the goverment and our capitalist society will walk right on by those who need some help and could help the country the most.. just to hand the money to their children who usually end up spoiled to dust.. wasting the wealth on extravagant hookers and dilladoe's

definitely try to get one thru your local banks/credit unions. if they require that you need to reside with your parents "tell'em that." does your mom or pop have accounts with a local bank? maybe they will take the loan out on your behalf. you, or your parents may have to put up something as collateral.

It's nothing better than to have credit - where you can basically borrow money against your own good name and pay it back in a payment plan.
There are agencies and sites out there but the thing is they are gonna DESTROY you in terms of very high/ unreasonable interest rates because credit (money) lenders will view you as a risk due to your credit situation.
You'd be better off going to friends/family to scrape up the cash - again I don't know your situation, but that interest rate will hit you up hard. At least using straight cash, you only are responsible for the $2500.
I just hate to hear that someone has no credit in 2008, it is a very important and valuable asset to have, especially in today's world. It's not a knock against you Sanova, because they don't teach this stuff in school systems.
The best thing I could do for you is show you some easy ways to build up your credit, so that you can be self-reliant and not have to go to these rip-off agencies in the future. I'm not selling you a service or nothing, I'll just drop some info on what I did to get my stuff tight - hit me on PM.
