improve the sound of emagic logic? sonny its about as good as it can get software wise on your pc IMO. The plugins it comes with arent ground breaking, but they arent crap either. If your shit sounds bad with its plugins, i dont think its because of the plugins , check the settings and shit.

free plugins: www.kvraudio.com

but please, in all honesty, do you really think free plugins are gonna sound better than the plugins that come with a program costing hundreds of bucks (plugins also can be purchased) and pushing the professional market? i highly doubt it. There are always exceptions to any rule of course, but aside from a few exceptions maybe, logic should get you by just fine.

where can I get this! I went to the download site for demo and it seems they cater towards Macs... So I thought it was for mac only. I saw an ad a while back in a sound mag with this rock producer who was endorsing it. The features that were listed sounded great so I wanted to try it out for vocal recording.

Logic is for PC too, I have Logic Platinum I believe version 5.5, I used it with one of my old setups, MPC 2000, Motif and Mophatt about a year ago....it works great to control external gear , my only problem is I had it on a computer with a 2 input delta 44 card and I would have to make multiple takes that sux so I rarely used it I would work on my protools computer more......but the EXS24 sampler is REALLY GOOD, you can map samples, map and make multi samples and the VST instruments that come with it are also nice......what made me go buy it was I heard The 45 King and also Eddie F talking about how good it worked for their studio setup to control their outboard gear......as far as the newest version I do not know if it is supported on PC or not.....

Actually Logic is no longer available or supported on PC. Since Apple bought Emagic and ripped the whole PC market apart, finding support for it is extremely hard. Best thing to do is to try and find a forum of Logic for PC users. There are a few out there that still use the program and can give you some tips. My questions for you would be, what sound card are you using and what kind of monitors are you using? These items play a big part of how your sound is. (or what you think it is) Also, look at what you're recording. Most DAWs give you what you put in. Trash in, trash out. If you record good quality sound that's what you'll get out. I would recommend getting the best sound you can before committing it to audio. Then you won't need to tweak as much once you're ready to mix. If you don't already have some, outboard gear, compressors, eq, pre amps etc can help beef up your sound going into your computer.

Find 5.5 platinum you straight though, there aint a huge difference in the last versions......but that was probably the last version on PC and it has all of those goodies I was telling you about though.....newest aint always the best but then again what I just got is new and its better than the old piece of gear I had so it depends........we can make a deal homie....
