i'd suggest just keep lookin on ebay or used gear stores for cheap samplers/sequencers. i once got mpc2000 for $100. u could try lookin for ensoniq eps16+. they are cheap nowadays. later on u could add a used multitrack recorder if u dont like computers. -

My Effort to Quit Sampling
sampling aint bad or out dated. just polish your diggin and choppin skills. dig for real obscure records (forget soul, funk, library) and chop small. or hire musicians to replay samples ;)- Mantas
