mpc 500 or 1000
get mpc1000. more features, jj os, which got even more features. mpc500 aint worth it. 1000 would be a better choice for a first mpc. -

so yall basically sayin that i need to pitch down the sample, find the key for bass and then pitch it up where i want? cause i wanna keep my sample high pitched and dont wanna change no tempo. -
Is it really worth it getting a mac
lets keep it real. unless u're a serious logic fan, u should go with pcs. u can build a f*ckin monster pc for half the price of mac. spend the rest money on some decent audio interface or other gear u need/want. cause apple is all about the hype. -

whut up fam! lately i've been messin a lot with pitched samples. lets say i sample something into my mpc, chop it up and tune it to something like 50. the beat sounds dope, but when i try to add my own bass, then my problems start. its real difficult for me to match bass to high pitched... -

i know that pro tools le comes with all the digi hardware and i know that theres lots of other software. i use cubase, but i also wanna try pro tools. what im askin is hows the mbox 2 mini hardware? how good (bad) are its converters? are they comparable to other mbox hardware? -

Best Setup Advice
first off u need a mic. rode nt1a or rode ntk will do the trick (since i dont know whats your budget). then u need a decent preamp. depending on your budget, i would look at these brands: presonus, art, spl, rme, etc. lastly, obviously u need some decent pair of monitors. i'd recommend... -

thinking about going back to pc after many years of mac usage
i've also been through this mac and pc dilema lately. my advice is go with pc. u can build a MONSTER pc (2.6 GHz core duo, 4 gb ram, 500 gb hdd, etc.) with dual 19" monitors for the same price as macbook pro (or even cheaper). i dont even talk bout a mac pro which price is way too stupid. and... -

Connecting sequences
I've been strugglin with connecting my sequences lately. For example, I make a few dope sequences on my mpc and when i play them one by one they sound good, but when i go to song mode and try to connect them they're missin something (as a whole). I'd appreciate any tips. -
