If you are making music for the sole purpose "trying" to get fans and/or sell you probably wont succeed. you might do ok at first but unless you come with something unique you wont be around for long. that... -

also .. it helps to set PT as the master and mpc as the slave even though some people will tell u diffrent ... and course as common sense would say make sure your pro tools session tempo is the same tempo that ur song is in the mpc so you can easily maniuplate the files and still stay in time. -

what u could try is to let t play for longer ...... let it loop 4 or 5 times.... by the second bar the loop should tighten up .. then cut away the off one and repeat the good section .. tab to transient i think is in the newer pro tools after 7 i think. the feature is located under the slip menu... -

^^^ what i do is RECORD at a low rate 128 or lower... then once u got all ur tracks in the box.. then put the buffer back up to mix/plugins/effects ...etc. -

yeah .. u can do it a number of ways .... all of which are located directly on the transport. 1) just click the icon that says 2 bar click or countdown or something like that. 2) you can record your instruments with pre roll on.. big d ... if that happens where it slighty off u can... -

700 euro is plenty. I would look a great river pre new or used. thats a great pre. but in reality there are plenty of good options in that price range. -

i am not saying that you should not paid for your work. I like checks too. what i disagree with is the whole idea that as a new producer you are "providing a service". rode k2 is pretty good.. if u can get one cheap then go for it. make sure it has good tube though if you are buying used, unless you want to replace it. whats your budget for a pre? -

and i dont believe in the term "throwaway track" anymore .. imo its best to always put your best foot forward. even if its some local small time thing, come with heat. You never know.
