how long do you spend
If theres a shop that will let me listen to used sample vinyls, I could be there for hours. Shops in my area only let you listen to a few new records, and the used ones are just gambles. After a while you can get good at judging records by their covers. If not you might as well just buy random... -

good vst for bass??
deep bass with 3xOsc Insert a new 3xOsc sample and turn the volume of both OSC2 and OSC3 completley off. Then lower the note about 3-4 octives. It still has a slight generic sound to it, but if you use it with your samples correctly you can use it as a natural sounding bass.
