How does MF DOOM do his basslines?
Those are all just basslines from the original samples. Doom mostly just takes loops wholesale anyway. I think I've heard a few where he adds a typical fretless bass into the equation, don't remember which.- Drago Zetić

Semi-Unplug Technique
Invert the phase of one of the channels and then sum them to mono. Results depend on the mix and mastering. I do this when taking samples just to see if some parts can be isolated nicely.- Drago Zetić
