    I found that even records tend to have them a bit off, it's all down to careful tweaking. Some more recent indie rap a cappellas do line up with the beats (see: almost any DJ Low Cut album).

    Tons of a cappella tracks are a little off, even if you line them up with the instrumental sourced from the very same CD. The key is to use decimal BPMs and tweak until it's perfect. It's very easy in FL, I can do it to almost any track in 5 to 10 minutes.

    Choose an instrument, make a new pattern, open the piano roll, hit the little button for the countoff and record by toggling the record button and hitting play. Afterwards, you can quantise (start times for example) from the dropdown menu in the piano roll. Have you skipped any of these steps?
