    I think it was the overly tight screws making it sensitive. Haven't yet tried it. As far as the pads go, I've taken out the MPD's packaging and it boasts "thick fat" "genuine MPC pads". Whether that's true or not, all the replacement sets of pads for MPCs also fit this thing.

    I can confirm the ghost note issue on the MPD 218. It doesn't happen often enough to really bother me, so I just edit the unwanted notes later. The remedy is simple - just loosen up the screws a bit. Otherwise it's a great piece of kit for the price, plus it comes alternate functions for each...

    I've compiled a little playlist so you can judge for yourself: Also, if the beat's pretty quick (BPM in the high 80s and faster) loose drum programming isn't as noticeable and you might as well leave them quantized.

    They quantize all the time, usually with the swing setting to achieve the duDun kick sound at the end of a bar. it's Dilla and the whole wave he created that didn't do it as often.

    I find that delaying just the hats is good enough for most beats. Here and there I'd also go full wonky though.

    Strictly Windows. But if you threw me into a place with only a Mac computer I'd just go and download FL with no issues. Outside of that, I feel OS X takes a lot of relearning even for basic functions.
