    HAHA! Yes, its far better to make music then discuss all this. What about Jarre's new stuff don't you like? His last few records I have enjoyed a lot, but they don't seem like they are pushing the limits anymore. I would love to hear your thoughts on them.

    oh for sure, I totally agree. Getting your hands dirty is half the fun! I do love playing a real Rhodes etc, and standing in front of a real amp. I was only saying from a sound quality standpoint software is there.

    Yes and you probably need to look at defusers as well to keep the sounds from bouncing around those parallel walls. I think you can get a free trial of some good software here http://www.odeon.dk/ should be enough time to build the room.

    yea when I was doing studio design at Sweetwater I sold both Primacsoutics and Auralex, both are great. I would get MoPad's FOR SURE though and with that budget grab some bass traps. There is software to help map all this stuff....let me see if I can find it.

    Mixing a low volume is preferred actually, you don't fry your ears, everything sounds good loud anyway so it's not always the best way to mix. Just gain stage correctly and you should be good to go.
