I just got something in the studio I have wanted for 15 years. I’m blown away by it. Check it out.

I use a Rhodes sound pretty often for various Drunk Pedestrian songs so absolutely. I’m playing in a new original band called “The Davenport Brothers” that I’m super pumped about http://davenportbrothersmusic.com/ we are working on our first record now. So the Rhodes is getting a lot of use now.

It really became clear when you got an amp on it, then it was night and day to the software versions.

Ok I was able to finally spend some time recording this with a great player in the studio yesterday and holy shit it sounds amazing. Sorry but it blows software emulations away completely. Wow.

Mixing and all that in the MPC

In your original I can literally hear the mp3 algorithm degrading the sound quality. Listen to that high hat that comes it, you can hear how grainy it is especially in the high end on your mix. The second mix is another world better. This is a great discussion with examples!

Mixing and all that in the MPC

"headphones but then all changes once converted to mp3" Ok first off you should NEVER mix in headphones. They are simply not accurate enough to do a proper mix on. and mp3 is actually a terrible format. The ONLY benefit mp3 files have are file size. They are a format that LOSES audio quality...

Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall, Part Two (Official Music Video)

Nope, that's Don McClean and im not a fan of that song either. Obviously that is an American classic but boy it gets old. Tom Petty just has so many amazing records. The song "Running down a dream" is just amazing "Wildflows" is so good. I had to write some type of paper for my masters on Tom...

Like the band Genesis? They do rock, I never expected to see them recommended here. This is where Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel got their start. Really good band. Add Rush to the list of old school bands to check it. Also, I have to do it. here is my Pink Floyd ink.

Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall, Part Two (Official Music Video)

The album “Dark side of the moon” is the greatest record ever made. I suggest good headphones and setting aside time to listen to the whole thing in one sitting. If it doesn’t move you then you are dead inside. I think “wish you were here” is the greatest “pop” song ever written. Listen to “...

    ILL OG memory lane

Nice to start a new thread, yea I made a bunch of friends on here over the years. It does seem that fb is starting to struggle so maybe we will see an exodus from that platform although it’s tough since so much music/family stuff is in there.

Do I REALLY NEED an MPC?

sucio, stress and I are still friends on FB and talk from time to time but both those guys are largely out of the game sadly. Relic fell off the face of the earth. Relic worked in the court system and has seen some shit. OMG did you ever hear the verse he did for me on a song where he played the...

Do I REALLY NEED an MPC?

I saw that, we always did have fun lively debates. Makes me miss the old guard around here. I considered Relic, Dac, Stress all real life friends as we would talk on the phone, collaborate and sometimes even fly out to meet up. We all met here. I owe a lot to this place for sure.
