Not unless you're willing to come off of a hundred bucks more... For $300 you can get better monitors from Maudio and several other companies. $200 ain't gonna get you anything serious. -

The simple answer: Emu 0404 and Audiophile 2496 are your best bets. The more complex answer: See if you can find an Echo Mia MIDI, Audiotrak Maya44+ (rare), Digi Audiomedia III, Emu APS, Echo Gina (20 bit) or Darla (20 bit), or maybe a Terratec EWS88MT. They're all good cards and can be had... -
Soundfont vs. Vst?
I use a VST plugin (EXSP24) to get access to my library of Soundfonts. For acoustic sounds, It's always soundfonts. For synths and electric pianos, always VSTi's. -
Difference
12bit sound vs 16 bit sound. It's like the difference between an S950 and an S1000. One has that grade-A crunch, the other is crystal clear. -
