i found really affordable systems for upgrading (no drives, medium class graphics card), but im a bit baffled as to what cpu and ram to choose.
there are lots of cheap amd quad core processors (4x2.2, 4x2.5...
allright, so theres that obvious sample used on common's "the people" in this,
but theres another one at 0:30 and man, it took me like ten minutes to recall what beat i knew that from.
miraculous flip... go figure it out yourself

as my BA in technical writing is comming to an end, i kept asking myself where i could work, without dying of boredom. so i sent out an unsolicited application to this company, got an interview a week ago and my contract today. and now im a native instruments employee, starting work in january...

"...like we are the last black BAND with a major record deal in the industry right...
i was experimenting a bit lately and found a nice trick.
i use cubase surround pan tool to spread the vocals in the mix, makes them appear to be comming from everywhere rather than sitting in front of the beat. this, combined with a slight delay (mod delay, 1% wet), gives me fantastic results...
i guess its like beating your meat, nobody talks about it, everybody does it.:)
how do you feel about sampling tracks you got from the net?
i must admit, i love to get into records, and sample from vinyl, whenever i get the chance. the sound is so much more rugged and nice. but i simply do...
yesterday night i recorded a track with two befriended mcees. i went to their crib, they were recording, i wrote on a current track and after they were finished we had some conversation, a few beers, listened to some beats, picked one and just started rhyming. we picked the beat at midnight...
got my hands on a book about misconceptions in nutrition sciences recently.
the message is pretty stunning, ill just summarize a few of the more interesting points for you;
- salt is not unhealthy, in fact it is needed by the kidneys to process and excrete water. there is no clinical study to...
im planning to convert one of the rooms of our shared appartment into a semi-professional recording studio.
im saying semi-professional, because the focus will be on realizing an acceptable quality of vocal recordings and mixes of beats for further processing/mastering in a professional studio...
so i know, this might look like the occasional "your top five tracks" post, BUT id like to know whether anyone can convince me of anything fatter than this. its one of those tracks i come back to every now than, to just re-live that vibe that made me love that music in the beginning or just love...
i have this wave file i want to convert to mp3, but none of my audio editors will recognise it.
odd, because my audio players do, and it plays normally.
at home i would simply re-record it, but no option here, cause im travelling and limited to my notebook.
any suggestions?
thx
i just heard about how important dc offset removal is.
these low frequencies are hardly to be recognised by the ear, but very hard to be reproduced by audio software and -hardware devices. so they eat up any playback devices' capacity and make your mix sound weak and fray out when turning up...
So in 07 I went there for the first time (had planned to go there for years) and it was the best festival atmosphere I have ever seen. 30000 visitors they say, a pure true skhool line up, bboy battles, graph contests, beatboxing everything. On top of all I did not see a single fight or other...
