small indie labels suck
had a deal on the table with an indie label here in la and they backed out coz they said my beats were to sample heavy. they didnt wanna pay the damn clearance. damn hippies! hahaha! all good though. got to get more connects. my thing is, they're distributed by universal so who really pays for... -
How Do Deals Go Down?
so if a label wants to use one of your beats what kind of deal usually goes down? do producers now a days get paid a flat rate and recognition and call it a day? or do they get points off the album and get paid a rate for the beat? -

cool edit help with turntable
ok so i got my turntable (numark pt-01) connected to my soundcard (e-mu 1212m) via rca to 1/4". now i changed all the settings in cep to record off the soundcard. for some reason its still not picking up the turntable. help. what should i do? -
