    many solutions indeed, there's almost no limit. The cut - cut by is recommended for drums ( logicaly open and closed hats, accented rides n full ride hits, but also long n short kick like 808's or snare variations. Its like the chnl 8/9 (I think) in reason but applicable to all channels.

    check your line and mic in ( mute em), laptop mostly have noisy soundcards and in case of the mac laptop, there's a this issue with firewire and the psu interferening ( which also means... keep your powercords away from the audiocables! ) I';m so stupid, i never even thought about the audio...

    check the altf4 page, there's a lounge track in there on which I havent even used a sequencer, just the multitrack window in logic. Its a good method cuz it forced you to listen instead of watching your events.
