    a cardbus is like PCI slot for laptop, always better than FW or USB. Audigy is more a domestic application, hence its price, for better quality and more studio connectivity check out the emu or rme.

    That one's USB fed so that wont work, for ide/atapi cardreaders look for amtron model IISDMC , for scsi check out Microtech PCD-47b or other PCD-XX. I found a IISDMC2 in the US for double the price when ordering here in the netherlands or germany ($50 vs 29Euro)...

    I'd say dbx 166xl for punchy stuff, its a comp/lim/gate and sound sweet on a drumtrack or a compounder which is somewhat more subtle ( and has a huge bassexpander knob ).

    I drop marker on wavs with soundforge, then load the whole wav in FL slicer and all the markers are still there and slices automaticly assigned...its such a cake lol!
