New CF Card Reader I found

I'm thinking about buying the Mitsumi FA404M cardreader to replace the zipdrive on my 2xl.

Has anyone here had any experience with this cardreader?

That one's USB fed so that wont work, for ide/atapi cardreaders look for amtron model IISDMC , for scsi check out Microtech PCD-47b or other PCD-XX. I found a IISDMC2 in the US for double the price when ordering here in the netherlands or germany ($50 vs 29Euro).

Formant are you positive that the PCD-47B will work with the scsi on the MPC2000.
i am really tired of the whole zip drive fukery!!!

Nope, that wont work but there's a way around it in order to have the pcd in the classic (non xl). XL eats em all as long as there not usb fed.

that thread you linked me to is very informative. i think im gonna give it a try. i'll get back to you and let you know how it went. i will take pictures and post them in illmuzik.

now that i have done even more research. i think im going to go with a pre-made kit from scsiforsamplers.com .. i wasnt really liking the idea of all those solder points. some of these kits are priced quite well. im gonna get one with a flash drive, cd-rom and hard-drive combo. then since in essence that all the channels in the daisy chain arent going to be used i can still use my zip!!
