i def remember that period...thats what kept shit original...but hey...like you said those times are gone and never coming back...i guess bitting in a sense is encouraged nowadays. If a cats comes up with a rare unheard sample and flips it...he might get a lil props, but the next cat that flips... -

Your chops gotta make sense...the have to make another melody sort of speak...or give you a slightly different feel from the original. Some cats chop just to show that they can used all the good peices of a song..which is unnecesary. I like to disguise my sample sometimes by adding other sounds... -

not to many beatmakers sample hip hop that much unless their gonna just basically loop the original track and add extra hi hats or 8o8's or something. I think people want to sample the rare also...so that pretty much cancels out sampling anything recently composed(everything was basically... -
