Bro... 3 of my beats were composed, mixed, mastered in 3 hours of the deadline.
I think the last one (my R3) was composed mixed mastered in 35 minutes
I checked again today incase they loaded weird.
For me, the semi final left bracket, those two beats play in mono. Fortunately it was both beats. But in a previous round I think I voted against a beat BECAUSE it was mono and I wonder if someone got unlucky.
No. Let's not, he's an old man, he'll ask us to turn it down.
And old men can't hear. That's why his limiter is bursting at the seams.
He can't hear but he asks us to turn down the noise? It doesn't make sense.
He's an old man, they don't make sense. And that's why it makes sense.
YES I knew (and hoped) it was Memento and 2Good (didn't wanna bait it up tho).
I despise 2Good for beating me with an emo-bap beat. Despise. 3rd time b2b winning cunt
Congrats bro.
So the "one I like what it's doing" is @Memento Beats and the one I like the sound of is @2GooD...
I'm saying it could even work against...
Maybe people were going to vote the boombap then thought, hm no its already "bound to win".
I do too sometimes hate when it's say trap v boombap, because you get the feeling it's going to come down to how many 'old heads' vs 'new heads' vote.
But yeah...
I don't like these kind of posts during active battle. Feel they can be influencing.
It could ironically work for or against, but either way, may make people start changing their votes based on such ideological voting etc.
I think its quite cute a boom bap vs Trap final. For me personally...
I try to vote on overall 'feel'.
I place musicality above mix. However the musicality can sometimes be affected by the mix, but feel if the musicality was right it would hold the mix together enough.
I also think a lot of the time, people mistake sound quality for 'good mix'. I heard a few...
This!!!
Great Post. A few bits went over my head. But I I've also thought about doing this, "creating music to sample it"
Wasnt entirely sure what you meant here..?
Also, what is a "superloop" ?
I'm yet to try it out. Thinking it could be really cool for generating some 'unique' loops to chop up or something.
"Give me an offbeat shaker pattern" or such
